Director's Corner

Dear reader,

The Coloma Township Park District once again had a Winter/Spring season full of successful programs and events that our great community came together to help support. From the Men's Basketball League and Skills Programs to the annual Christmas Lights Display and Easter Egg Hunt, I am very grateful to have a wonderful staff and amazing volunteers that made all of it possible. With that said, it's time to look forward to the summer months ahead.

I would first like to introduce that we have hired a new Recreation Manager, McKenzie Hubbard. I'm very excited about what she has already accomplished as well as what the future has to bring. She has some fresh ideas that I believe the community will love and get behind 100%.

This summer we will have many familiar programs such as Skills, Tot Time, T-Ball, Church League Softball and our tennis tournaments, but I'd also like to announce that we are bringing back some programs that have been away since COVID. This season we will welcome back the Youth Tennis Camp, Friday Night Co-Ed Softball, and our staple Summer Field Trip Program.

We hope everyone will join us in having great experiences in all our parks. Whether its renting one of our shelters for a birthday party, kids playing on the zipline, or renting out our paddle boats. I thank you all for the support you have given.

Sincerely,

Thomas L. Henry

Director of Parks and Recreation
