It Has Begun!
THE JOSHUA PARK DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
We will keep you up to date with the new developments at Joshua Park, currently a 5.3 acre natural area located at Riverdale Road and A Street in Rock Falls. After three years of applying with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the Coloma Township Park District was finally awarded with an Open Space Land and Acquisition Development (OSLAD) Grant.
The developments planned for Joshua Park include a basketball court, a Frisbee golf course, a baseball practice diamond, a new shelter with potable drinking water and a new parking lot as well as restrooms.
The development of the site will cost an estimated $260,000.00, of which the OSLAD Grant will cover 50% of the project.
